Well, normally people said that.. the external that they buy can't be used when connected to the apple laptop and for instant .. macbook pro. So do I, i'm facing that kind of problem in years back like the items from mac to the device transfer failed and cannot copy items and paste in the external device. So, this is not really a big problem for the mac user, it's only the different formats that function in both external and your mac. So, what can we do? This is something that you don't have to worry. - Insert the external.
- Click application - utilities - Disk utility
- And this applications box will appear...
- Next, you need to click your external device.
- Click erase button on the right of the application menu.
- Then, choose the format to mac os extended.
- After that, click erase button at the bottom right and wait for the process.
- When the formats session is complete, we'll need to create partition for your device. The utility page will shown like below:
- Next, change the volume scheme base on your need.
- Change your device name.
- Click apply button on the bottom right and wait until the partition stage is complete.
- Ready to used.
** Well, now you can freely transfer your document into your external.
